Fears and phobias can develop, when relatively safe situations, come to be perceived by the subconscious mind, as 'highly dangerous' and trigger a stress or fear response. 


Hypnotherapy and NLP techniques can recondition memories of bad experiences and reset the associated alarm systems. By experiencing a carefully orchestrated, hypnotic 'rehearsal', whilst you remain in a safe, calm and relaxed state, It is possible to desensitise your response to the situation you are fearful of. The amygdala, where the subconscious mind processes fearful and threatening stimuli, can learn that the situation is no longer a threat and stops the activation of the flight or flight response.

Fear of pain.

Fear of needles. 

Fear of flying. 

Fear of driving.

Exam or test nerves.

Fear of public speaking.

Social phobia/anxiety.

Fear of nausea and vomiting - Emetophobia
